The most popular version of Poker played nowadays is Texas Hold’em. As many as ten players can play simultaneously at the same table. At the beginning two down cards are being dealt to each player, and then five community cards are dealt face-up in the center of the table. The game goes like this: Blinds: The first and the second player to the left of the dealer must post "blinds", which means placing a bet before getting cards. That guarantees money to every winning hand. It is fair as the dealer’s button follows on every game round, everybody at some point will post blinds. The first player to the left of the dealer gives the “small blind” which is equal to the half of the lowest possible bid in the game. In example for a $5/$10 game it will be $2.5. The second player to the left of the dealer, which is actually first to the left of the small blind, gives the “big blind”, which is equal to the lowest possible bid. Pocket Cards: When the blinds are done, the two cards, called the pocket cards, are dealt to each player, all face down. First Bet Round: The betting is following around the table, in clockwise direction, starting by a first player to the left of the big blind. Player may either fold, call or raise. Raising can be made only by the lower table stake, in example $5 in a $5/$10 game. More details about betting are provided below. Flop Cards: After the first betting round three cards, called the flop cards, are dealt on the table, all face up. They are also called “community cards”, because every player may use them to complete his hand. Second Bet Round: The second round is the same as the first, and follows on the same rules. The "Turn": As the second round of betting ends, a fourth shared card, called the “Turn card” is dealt face up on the table. Third Bet Round: It is also almost the same as the both betting rounds performed before. The only difference is that raising is possible only by the higher table stake, in example $10 in a $5/$10 game. The "River": The fifth and the last shared card, called the “River card” is dealt. After that the last round of betting follows. Fourth Bet Round: This final betting round goes on the same rules as the third. "Showdown": After final betting round is done, every player who hold on to this round has his best five-card hand chosen. The hand can be made from both pocket cards and the community cards. The pot is won by the player with the best hand. If two or more players have the same hand the split the pot between them. There may happen a situation when the best hand is made only from community cards by two or more players. Then the pot is divided all the players that holds to the showdown. If you notice that you’ve lost, you may Muck, which means giving up your hand and losing a pot. You can also Show to compare your hand with other player’s hands. Beginning Again: After the winning hand player takes the pot, the next game round begins. The dealers button is moved to the player to the left. Betting system: Betting round is started by the first player to the left of the big blind. Player may take action which he thinks is best for him at the moment. These are: Fold: If you think that your cards are not worth of continuing to play. Every money that you put into the pot will be lost, but you will not lose no more. When you fold you stay out of the game until the next game round begins.

Check/Call: Checking or calling allows you to stay in the game. You can check without placing any money in the pot if there was no bet made before your turn.  It the bet has been made, you can call by placing the same amount in the pot as the bet before.
Bet/Raise/Re-raise: You can make a bet if you think your hand is good enough. If a bet has been already made by a player before, you can rise on amount depending on the table stakes. If it is a $5/$10 table, in the first two round of betting it is $5, and it the last two it is $10. In each round there can be one bet and three raises. The betting round end if the three raises are made, and, depending on the moment of the game, either the next card is dealt or the showdown begins. "All-In": Player does not have to fold if he runs out of poker chips during the course of the hand. He may use the All-in option, which means all your chips and the pot is divided into two pots: the main pot and side pot. In the side pot there are placed all subsequent chips. When the showdown begins and the “All-in” player doesn’t win the round, the player with winning hand collects both the main pot and the side pot. But if the “All-in” player has the winning hand, he collects only the main pot, and the side pot goes to the player with the second highest hand. Another side pot is created for every player who goes “All-in”. The division of the pots is fixed with the hand and order in which the players went “All-in”. If a winning player is not one of the players who went “All-in”, he wins the main pot and all of the side pots. If the “All-in” player wins the round, he collects the main pot and these side pots which were made before he went “All-in”. Any all in player with a winning hand can only win the pot or pots they are involved in. Betting round lasts until all players either folded, called the third raise or the bet have been called by all players without raising, excepting the one that placed the bet.
