There are two ideas that try to explain gambling:
That gambling is from of deviant behavior.
That gambling is from of normal behavior.

The forms of gambling, and the way one participate in gambling activity is dictated by individual’s and by government's choice or interpretation. Also the decision to take part in gambling or not is a question of one’s individual decision.
Those who perceive gambling activity a deviant behavior tends to connect it with some criminal elements generally associated with gambling. In some aspects all of our life is a form of gambling.
Those people who think about gambling as a part of normal behavior perceive gaming as a form of free time activity and enjoyment. The thought to risk money in order to get more of it is tempting to many people and in the moment when the looses occur they continue playing to gain their looses, not because of some deviant addiction.
The enjoyment of the gambling and your individual approach and further enjoyment of the gambling strictly depends on your way of thinking about the activity. Also governments form various forms of legislation, based on their own interpretations. Some of them support gambling industry and some of them completely outlaw it. Usually there is a possibility to find some way in the middle and the balance between both kinds of thinking of the government’s and individual’s.
