Caribbean Stud Poker is a 5 card poker game where you play against the dealer. To win the game players needs to have better hand than the dealer. Remember that even if you play Caribbean Stud Poker in a public room at your online casino it is still you against the dealer (just like Blackjack). To start the game player needs to make an “Ante” bet. After the bet players receives five cards face up, the dealer is also dealt five cards, but only one of his cards id face up. The player must decide, by looking at his or her own hand and comparing it with the dealer's single face-up card, whether he or she has a better hand than the dealer's. If you think your hand is worse than the dealer's, you can fold by clicking on the `Fold` or `Surrender` button on your screen. Folding loses your ante bet. If you decide to play on click the “Challenge” button in order to bet on your hand. This doubles your Ante bet. When you decide to challenge the dealer his other four cards are turned face up. Now your hand is compared with dealers hand. However, there is one important thing! Dealer’s hand needs to contain an Ace and a King in order to qualify to challenge. If it doesn’t the challenge is cancelled and player receives a 1 to 1 payout to his ante bet. If the dealer's hand does qualify, however, the hands are compared and you will either win or lose your challenge. In the event that both hands are equal, it's a push, and you get your money back. There are different payoffs depending on player’s hand combination. Before you start your game make sure to check the payoff table. |
